One Block Beginner's Guide: Your First Day
Your first day in One Block is about turning a tiny starting point into somewhere you can work safely. You do not need an impressive house immediately. You need room to stand, somewhere to store supplies and a plan for the next few blocks. The order of rewards and phases depends on your map, so treat this as a flexible survival plan.
Read the world instructions first
Before breaking anything, check the map's starting messages, signs or guidebook. Find out where the regenerating block is and whether the map mentions phases, special drops or recovery options. Different One Block maps use different rules. A guide for another world may describe rewards your map does not provide, so avoid planning around a guaranteed early chest or animal.
Make a small working platform
Use your first spare building blocks to create standing room around the source block. Keep the source visible and leave space to step away if something unexpected appears. Expand carefully from a secure position, using sneak controls appropriate to your device. Put precious items away before working along an unfinished edge; losing a stack of dirt is easier to recover from than losing your only sapling.
Protect the supplies that unlock progress
Craft a table and basic tools when materials allow, then make storage. Set aside saplings, seeds and useful food instead of spending everything on decoration. If you receive a tree, give it enough space to grow and collect its drops over a platform. A renewable wood supply is more valuable than a large wooden building you cannot maintain.
Finish the day with a repeatable routine
Alternate short mining sessions with sorting and safety checks. Before you stop, clear walking routes, store spare tools and check the platform for exposed gaps. Add lighting and a shelter when resources permit. Your first milestone is simple: return to the world knowing where your supplies are and where it is safe to stand.
