Make the Most of Every Regenerating Block
Mining the source block drives a One Block world forward, but speed is not the only thing that matters. Losing drops, using the wrong tool or ignoring a full inventory can waste a productive session. Build a routine that lets you notice changes and keep what you collect. Phase order and special rewards remain specific to the map you installed.
Prepare a clean collection area
Keep enough floor around the source to stand comfortably and catch nearby drops. Remove clutter from your retreat path and keep storage outside the immediate work space. Check the floor after rebuilding nearby structures. A collection area should make unexpected drops easy to see, rather than hiding them between chests, decorative blocks and narrow gaps.
Match tools to the material
Keep the basic tools you can afford within reach, and change tools when the block type changes. Some resources require a suitable tool tier to drop their material, so do not treat every block like dirt. Use the game's recipe and item guidance when uncertain. Save scarce higher-tier equipment for tasks where it makes a practical difference.
Take breaks before your inventory fills
Mine in short sessions, unload your supplies and check tool condition. Set aside newly received seeds, saplings or other scarce items before continuing. If the map announces a new phase, pause long enough to read the message. The first few blocks of a change are a good reason to clear your inventory and check the surrounding platform.
Turn each session into a base upgrade
After sorting, choose one improvement that the new resources make possible: another storage chest, a safer perimeter or extra growing space. Keep a reserve for repairs instead of spending every block immediately. This turns mining into steady island progress and avoids the cycle of collecting large piles without fixing the problems that make collection risky.
